Institutional Strengthening for selected Vietnamese Universities in Profession-Oriented Higher Education (PROFED) 

The project aims at:

 Institutional strengthening of the Ministry of Education and Training and 8 selected universities in Vietnam on a pilot basis in order to raise the quality of their education through career-oriented approaches, thus the students are able to acquire necessary knowledge and skills to meet the requirement of the labour market after graduation.

Competence Based Education requires different curricula; the project is aimed at developing these curricula. It is the desire of the MoET to develop their policy on profession-oriented education at higher education level and implement programmes at system level so as to cope with more changing of the labour market in an era of the knowledge economy. The Minister has chosen the Dutch system of profession-oriented higher education as an example to be used in Vietnam.
